Definition Essay

Friendship is the condition of sharing a friendly relationship, the feeling and behaviour that exist between friends according to Longman Dictionary. But for us, these definitions are not enough to explain what friendship is about.

These definitions allready quoted are not enough to explain FRIENDSHIP, for us it is about trust, love and hope between friends.

An example of this is when a friend is sad we should help and support him.

As we can see the definitions of the dictionary are not complete, because friendship is personal and covers a lot of things.

Petition letter

Dear local authorities from Calcutta:

  I’m Clara Gomez Lombardi, I’m 13 years old, I’m a student from Newlands school.

  One of the problems that Calcutta has is that cities grow too quickly, and create lots of problems like overpopulation. One of the consequences is that many families and people have no home other than the pavement. Another problem is that there is not enough transport public system for the amount  of people that habit Calcutta.

  I’m writing to complain against all this problems and to express my concern.

Essay

The CAP stands for the common agricultural policy that was set up in 1962. This CAP had different aims that were to create a single market in which agricultural products could move freely, to give financial support to EC farmers which included guaranteed prices and to increase the average field size and farmers income. This CAP had different advantages and disadvantages.

With reference to the advantages, farmers were able to obtain more money because of the government’s  subsidies; with this money they could buy new farming instruments; as they had more space, they could produce more.

With reference to the disadvantages, farmers weren't able to sell their products to other countries that have better prices. Also there were many disadvantages for the ones that didn’t accept CAP because they didn’t receive subsidies.

As a conclusion, the CAP had good and bad consequences on farming.  

Review : The Lake District National Park

       I have recently spent a month in the Lake District National Park, the best experience in my life.

       Most people go there for spirit refreshment. It has many mountains and rivers .There are lots of different landscapes and huge biodiversity.

       It was an amazing experience, because, I have never had the opportunity of seeing different animals and landscapes. The only thing I did not like, was that it was cold and I could not do some activities because of that.

       Despite that, it was the best experience in my life, and I recommend going there.

Hielos Contienentales

En esta materia trabajamos sobre el agua potable, y sus características.Por ejemplo trabajamos sobre el agua  de mar y de río. Aprendimos que el agua de río tiene menos contenido de sal que el agua del mar, nos dimos cuenta que el agua de río provenia de lluvias, deshielos y nevadas y que sus componentes dependen de la salinidad y los minerales del suelo ya que el rio arrastra estos minerales.
Tambien aprendimos muchas cosas sobre el agua de mar, por ejemplo que este agua es el conjunto de la desembocadura de otros rios. y que esta compuesta por cloruro de sodio,de magnesio, Sulfato neutro desodios, cloruro de calcio, de potasio, entre otros.
Otra cosa que trabajamos es la relacion entre agua potable y agua bebible, y esta es que "cuando el agua es bebible quiere decir que es potable."

AUTOEVALUACIÓN

El proyecto de Hielos Continentales, estuvo muy bueno porque pude aprender cosas que no me daba cuenta o que ni me fijaba. buscando información . realizando trabajos, vídeos, etc. aprendí cosas nuevas e interesantes.
En cuanto a la información, no fue tan difícil de encontrara, porque tenia compañía con la cual podía consultar algunas cosas, o tenia libros, usaba Internet.
Yo creo que si puedo ser un "agente multiplicador" y hacerle conocer a la gente este proyecto, transmitiéndole, mostrandole estas cosas a mis familiares o amigos y que luego ellos se lo puedan presentar a sus amigos, creo que ayudaría mucho.
En mi opinión, no quitaría ni agregaría ni modificaría nada, creo que este trabajo esta completo, se puede entender, y poder consientizar a la gente.

Expedición Bicentenario y Los Hielos Contienetales

La expedición Bicentenatiro esta basada en los Hielos Continentales. Chicos de diferentes escuelas escribieron su sueño para que en el TRICENTENARIO, es decir, dentro de 100 años, lo abran y las personas que esten vivas lo puedan leer.
Estos sueños fueron enterrados en el chalten, Bariloche. Un grupo de andinistas se encargó de que esten bien guardados.
Nosotros, los chicos del Colegio Newlands, vivimos esta experiencia. Nos parecio genial la idea de enterrar nuestros sueños, es una idea fantática!
En el mes de Abril, nos vino a dar una charla un andinista que vivió y estuvo en el viaje al Chaleten.
Nos contó que tenía algunas de estas vestimentas, eran estacas, botas especiales para el hielo, una soga por si alguien se caia, lo pudieran sostener, y otras muchas cosas para el hielo. Este seños se llama Javier Madaraz que vino especialmente ara contarnos esta experiencia y algunas pautas por si tenemos ganas de visitar el lugar.

  I went to Miramar with my family and my dog Benny. We had a great time together. Every day after breakfast we went to the beach and play volley with our friends. When the sun fall down we return to the house, we take a bath and we went to the center to have fun!.
There were two days that rains, one day we stay at home watching T.V and the other we went to the cinema to watch a movie.

The Bedroom

The bedroom is the best place in the house because there I can watch T.V, listen to music, sleep, use the computer or just relax and there I am in my world and I feel very good being there.
 But some disadvantages are that I don´t have everything I want. For example, the bathroom, I can´t take a bath and stay in my bedroom. But apart from that I love being there.

Report on how to recruit young people to the party

INTRODUCTION 
The purpose of this report is to recommend Hitler ways of recruiting young people. Nowadays, teenagers are interested in fashion, music and clothing.
FASHION
Designers think that people have to have all the necessary clothes: pair of trousers, t-shirts, skirts, pullover, etc. But people that go to school had to buy the clothes, of the school. Designers have chosen green camouflaged clothes. The party should give the members camouflaged cloth to wear so that teenagers join the party.
CLOTHING
People should wear comfortable shoes, joggings, bullet-proof vest and militar hat, sweat-shirt and a green black t-shirt (militar´s t-shirts). These clothes are fashionable, people love them. They think it would be comfortable for their body
CONCLUSION
To sum up, you should respect these points of the report. If not teenagers won´t enter the party.

Two faces separated by a mountain

Have you ever been in Rio de Janeiro? It´s a lovely place and a horrible place at the same time.

On one hand, there is a lovely paradise of sand and sea where you can relax, scubadive, etc. But, on the other hand, it is a horrible place because of the crime, the traffic and the over popullation. There are a lot of poor families (Fabella). They sometimes go down and steal all what they can.

When I went to Brazil, I spent a very good time visiting places, for example the beach, the city, and I bought a lot of things in the center for all my family.We went to a cruise around the Amazon River, the food was delicious and we tried a lot of drinks like the Coconut one, liquors and others.

I recommend having a great time there but taking care of your goods
